Middle marker options

At Cloth of Kin studios we offer a variety of optional designs. For our babywearing customers we have included 3 middle marker options.

A "Panel" middle marker is a change of weft in the middle of the length of fabric that is approx 30 cm long.

A "Stripe" middle marker is a change of weft in the middle of the length of fabric that is approx. 5 cm long.

A variation of the "Stripe" middle marker is to have multiple stripes, in this case the stripes are using the warp colours. Additional charges may apply.

A "Tactile" middle marker is 3 raised threads in the middle of the length of the fabric that occur on each selvedge.

A alternative weft option that could also be used as a middle marker is "Tartan Weft" and it has it's own series of options in our order drop down menus. Tartan Weft can occur in the middle of a length as a middle marker, you can also choose to have it at the ends of the length or throughout the length.

Another option for creating a middle marker would be to have 2 weft colours. Unless otherwise instructed, we divide the two colours evenly along the length which creates a weft change as a middle marker.
